THIS IS US…

So who are we? We are a busy family of 6 with 3 boys and 1 girl. Tanya, a former school
teacher, has been at home full time since our first son Micah was born in
Oct 2000. Our second son Joel was born 18 months later, and after a 3 1/2
year gap we added twin babies to the mix in November 2005 - Levi and Danae.
Life has been extremely busy ever since, leaving Tanya no time at all for
the dogs, which are mainly Daniel’s passion and hobby. She does, however,
really appreciate their gentleness and protectiveness towards the (rough)
boys and babies, and would recommend them to anyone with young children. We
have caught our children riding on them, throwing themselves on them and
wrestling with them. Never a dull moment at the Karreman household!!
We stumbled onto Boerboels reading about breeds in the Dogs USA catalogue, and got in touch with Rob and Jen Backstrom, and after lengthly conversation, started buying Boerboels from Rob, and later Eric and Gina of Oakview Boerboels.

We love our dogs and see what those that have gone before us in establishing the breed here in North America have invested, and are very interested in complimenting the work that has gone into the breed thus far. We would also like to be able to offer good options for those wishing to aquire a boerboel.

We have gone to great effort (we feel that others have done more) to obtain and raise the wonderful Boerboels that we have here.  We are very happy to place our pups with families.  Given a few years, we look forward to “breeding” a successful kennel of Boerboels instead of buying a kennel of dogs.  Obviously it takes a little longer, but judging by the success of Northern Boerboels and Oakview Boerboels who have paved the way before us, we  hope to produce in a similar way.

Well, it looks like the 10 acre deal fell through for us, we are looking forward to something better to work out for us.  We will keep you posted.
